ABOUT
OUR MOON PROJECT
OUR MOON is a project based on the recognition that the only footprints on the moon, are those of American citizens.
Out of all the countries on earth only one has set foot and lived on the moon. And that is the United States.
According to contemporary US and international law, as well as legal precedents and historical precedents... American citizens are the indigenous people of the moon.

On this website we have an outline of natural steps in this evolution of moon stewardship and controlling governmental power over our American moon.
Establishing the de facto truth, that Americans are the indigenous people of the moon
US Citizens, Americans, are de facto, the indigenous people of the Moon.
How can that be said? Because the only human beings ever to set foot on the moon are Americans, and the only people ever to live on the moon are Americans. They had to leave temporarily to secure water and food, but Americans are returning to their moon-home soon. Artemis II is preparation for a permanent American moon base.
THE WELL UNDERSTOOD DEFINITION OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLE LEADS TO THE INEVITABLE CONCLUSION:
THAT THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF THE MOON ARE AMERICANS
If we define “indigenous” the way some historians and modern activists do—“the people with the first and longest historical, cultural, and physical connection to the land”—we’ve just handed the Moon to the United States in an iron-clad analysis. No other group has any connection. Zero. The Moon was virgin territory until July 20, 1969, when two Americans from Ohio and New Jersey stepped out and began their three day life on the moon.
This is a brutal rhetorical checkmate if the conversation is about indigeneity, ancestral rights, or “who was here first.” We’ve flipped the script: the same logic used to claim special status for any other group now points straight to the Stars and Stripes on the Sea of Tranquility.

Every single human footprint on the Moon was left by an American
02
In the historial and cultural evolution of our life on our moon, we have the most American power flex imaginable:
We (Americans) discovered it, we walked on it, we planted our flag, we’re coming back—and by the rules, that makes us the indigenous people.
It’s the ultimate troll of every “decolonize” narrative, delivered with rocket fuel and Old Glory. It’s not meant as satire, theology, or straight-faced legal theory. It’s a bullseye in its audacity of truth.
Here on this website we have an outline of natural steps in this evolution of moon stewardship and controlling governmental power over our (American) moon.
To solidify and stabilize the positive position in which the US finds itself, a proclamation is in order. We can imagine that someday, and hopefully soon, such a proclamation will become an official binding document of the Federal Government of the United States.

Proclamation of the 51st State of the United States
The State of Luna
By the authority vested in the people of the United States, and on behalf of all Citizens of the United States of America — the indigenous people of the Moon —
The American people do hereby proclaim and declare:
The Moon, which may be known as Luna, is hereby recognized and affirmed as the coming and future 51st State of the United States of America.
PURPOSE:
This proclamation is issued for the express purpose of preserving, protecting, and defending our Moon as the coming and future 51st State of the United States of America, in recognition of the clear and eternal truth that only American citizens have ever set foot upon, lived upon, and planted their flag upon the lunar surface.
This proclamation solemnly affirms the unbreakable historical, cultural, and spiritual connection between the American people and the Moon. From the first footsteps of Apollo astronauts in 1969 to the permanent return now underway, the Moon has always been American soil. No other nation or people has any prior claim.
The State of Luna (or whatsoever name is chosen) shall be governed under the Constitution of the United States, the Bill of Rights, and the Judeo-Christian principles of faith, family, freedom, and the Ten Commandments that formed the foundation of our Republic.
The American flag, already standing on the lunar surface, shall serve as the official flag of the State of Luna.
This proclamation marks the end of our temporary absence and the beginning of permanent American habitation, exploration, and stewardship of our celestial home.
God bless the State of Luna. May it prosper in all ways
under American stewardship.
God bless the United States of America.
Issued this day, April 7th, in the Year 2026,
On behalf of the United States of America by its people.
